In this interactive workshop, program developers and program reviewers will come together to learn the components of CEC SPA National Recognition Reports*. Principles for and examples of performance-based program review, and strategies for successfully writing the sections of the CEC reports including the new 2020 Initial Practice-Based Preparation Standards, the Early Interventionist/Early Childhood Special Educators, as well as the existing Advanced Special Educator Standards will be covered.

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the CEC program recognition report process and list its essential elements
• Ensure that program assessments align with the major elements of CEC Preparation Standards
• Come away with a better understanding of program performance-based assessments, and their alignment with CEC Standards
• Develop and/or review a program review report

*Although this workshop is not specifically designed to prepare programs for CEC Accreditation there are various sections such as assessments, rubrics, and data overviews that would be useful in a program's preparation for CEC Accreditation.
