Starting the year off right is crucial for both students and teachers alike. Throughout this workshop, participants will be introduced to some of the adverse childhood events that could influence student’s academic, social, emotional, and behavioral performance. Emphasis will be placed on providing strategies to build strong relationships with their students, use student assets to understand their strengths and how to create positive behavioral supports that improve behavior in the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to apply concepts learned to their own students in our application portion of the workshop.
